Spa Rehabilitation And Certified Equine Massage

Our Darden Equine Hydrotherapy Spa, imported from Europe, is most often utilized to treat and prevent equine injuries.

Cold saltwater provides natural, drug free preventative therapy and can therefore be utilized to increase suppleness and decrease swelling / stiffness in the limbs immediately before and after competitive riding, jumping, gaming, racing and training.

The Spa is a self-contained unit holding 520 gallons of 35⁰F saltwater. Water purity is maintained through a triple filtration system cleaned regularly on a daily basis. Treatments can be focussed below the knee or above the hock, depending on the need. The Spa is an economical,(treatments begin at $35) efficient,(cuts healing time in half), and natural way to help your horse be the best it can be!

Darden Equine offers certified Equine Massage therapy services in the comforts of our stable or yours! The main goal of equine massage is to help horses achieve painlessly smooth movements. Equine Massage is essential when horses present issues in their upper body such as bucking without cause, constant head shaking, improper collection, inability to bend well in tight circles, refusal to pick up correct canter leads or rein back. Often when horses suddenly begin to "act up", the issue can be physical, rather than behavioural. Equine Massage treatments will help relieve your horse's discomfort ensuring you both once again enjoy the ride. Treatments begin at $60/hour plus mileage when applicable. Boarding

We are an established boarding, lesson and day camp facility featuring everything from pasture care to top quality full-care for the maximum enjoyment of your horse. We offer a friendly, relaxing atmoshpere, premium box stalls with Comfort Stall flooring, white rail paddocks with large shelters and automatic heated watering; a large 100x130 professionally built sand ring. Our property is easily accessible to excellent trail riding areas, hwy #400 and superb competitions offered within Simcoe County. We look forward to serving your every need and growing with our riders and boarders.

Lessons and Day Camp

Lessons are available in individual or group packages consisting of 10 hours in total. A group of students will be no more than 5 riders. Horseback riding lessons include riders working with their horses on the ground, as well as on their backs. In addition to learning how to ride the horse through various gaits, riders will learn about the anatomy of the horse, horse behaviour, care of the horse and tack, how to handle horses in different situations and horse/rider safety.

Day camp was for 1 week from Monday - Friday, July 20-24, 2009. Space was limited to only 8 riders and each day represented a different "horsey" focus theme. We had so much fun with our focus on Heartland and Saddle Club novel themes. Campers spent a huge amount of time with the horses or compleing horse related activities such as horse crafts, and horse games. I'm going to feature pictures from each day for at least one week then switch it up! Monday's theme was "Getting to know you!" Check out the pics from this fun day!
