Information listed below about our services included or available for the above boarding options.

Stall Flooring:  Each stall is outfitted with Comfort Stall.^R  This mattress system is a revolutionary therapeutic anti-fatigue flooring system in your horse’s stall.  It is equivalent to four inches of bedding.  Comfort Stall is designed to greatly improve your horse’s comfort and is used in some of the most reputable equestrian facilities and clinics in the world. 

Bedding – All horses will be bedded in either traditional pine wood shavings or peat moss for an environmentally friendly alternative (when available). 

Winter Paddock Fencing – Our three winter paddocks offer three rails of Flex-Fence.  This fencing is horse and rider friendly.  It is designed to withstand over one ton of break strength, yet it can stretch and absorb impact, unlike high tensile fencing.  This fencing is very safe for all sizes of horses.  In addition to Flex-Fence, each paddock will contain one or two strands of Electrobraid to maximize the safety of your equine family member.

Outdoor Water – In all three of our winter paddocks, there are Nelson heated waterers.  This allows horses a fresh, clean supply of constant water, even on the coldest of winter days.  The waterers are located on the southern side of a 10 X 16 Shelters, to offer horses further protection from the blustery northern winter elements. 

Outside Hay – In the winter paddocks, there will be off-the-ground hay feeders made of rotational molded heavy wall virgin poly.  These “rubber” hay feeders ensure a safer mode of feeding hay while horses are turned out.

Summer Paddock Fencing – Summer paddocks will be fenced with four strands of Electrobraid.  This is a very safe, electric fencing designed especially for horses.  It is both a physical barrier and a psychological deterrent.  It is highly visible to horses and effectively excludes predators.

Outdoor Summer Water - In our summer paddocks, water will be supplied in large 100 gallon tanks, checked daily and cleaned out regularly.

Daily Turn-out – All horses will enjoy daily small group turn-out (max. 5 horses) from approximately 7-8am to 6-7pm (Winter), or 8-9pm (Summer).

Riding –   We offer a 100 X 130 professionally installed sand ring.  All paddocks are being designed for perimeter trail riding.  Design plans for the property renovations in the summer of 2009 include expanding trails around our four ponds and throughout the 55 acres.  Our community offers many trails ideal for riding.  Our future property plans include building an indoor riding arena. 

Special Events: In the spring, summer, and fall we like to organize barn trail rides, riding clinics, and a annual Boarder appreciation day.

Trailering - Darden Equine offers trailering to shows, trail rides, veterinary emergencies, clinics, racetracks etc for a nominal fee.  If you need your horse to be somewhere, let us know and we'll book your time!
